Job Opportunity: Data Product Manager
We're seeking a driven and insightful Data Product Manager to join our Product Management team. In this role, you'll work closely with Product Owners, engineers, and UX designers to build impactful solutions that solve real problems for our clients. You will help shape product direction by collaborating across departments-from ideation through delivery. Ideal candidates are seasoned product managers with a background in financial services and a genuine curiosity for creating meaningful, client-centered solutions that support long-term financial well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and deeply understand client challenges before proposing solutions.
Guide your squad in adopting a client-centric mindset using design thinking tools and methodologies.
Organize and facilitate user research sessions and design workshops to inform the product roadmap and develop measurable goals (OKRs).
Gather and integrate insights from multiple inputs such as user feedback, business stakeholders, market trends, competitor landscape, and usability testing.
Utilize SQL or equivalent tools to retrieve and analyze data.
Possess familiarity with data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing. Experience with tools like SSIS is an asset.
Draft product documentation including feature briefs, user stories, release notes, and internal knowledge base content.
Maintain squad-level artifacts such as journey maps, personas, empathy maps, and storyboards to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
Collaborate closely with the UX team to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Provide assistance in diagnosing and resolving production issues in coordination with the technical support and engineering teams.
Be inquisitive and analytical-define and monitor product metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Adapt quickly to new subject areas, take initiative on projects, and know when to ask for guidance.
Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork and dedication to achieving results.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience in a product management role within an IT environment.
A degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Proficient in Agile methodologies with hands-on experience using tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to engage cross-functional partners effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving business environment with professionalism and timeliness.
Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal, including strong presentation abilities.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as within a team.
Skilled at organizing and breaking down complex work into manageable components.
Prior experience in the life insurance sector, particularly in areas like workflow management or policy lifecycle, is considered a plus.
