This role will lead a commercial property and casualty claims team, with a focus on both excess and surplus lines. Based in Scottsdale, AZ, the position will oversee managers across the department as well as supporting overall company performance.
Responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the claims department, including staffing, training, and performance reviews. The role involves setting and maintaining quality standards, guiding claims strategy, and ensuring regulatory compliance. It will also involve managing department budgets, improving systems, overseeing litigation, and reviewing large losses.
Requirements:
At least 15 years of commercial claims experience; surplus lines knowledge is an advantage
At least 10 years of experience managing teams, including remote staff
Strong knowledge of claims handling, coverage, litigation, and insurance operations
Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make sound decisions
