Workday HCM Functional Lead - Absence & Compensation
Location: London - Hybrid 2 days per week on-site
Contract Type: Inside IR35
Day Rate: Up to £850 per day
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Functional Lead with a strong track record in delivering end-to-end Workday implementations, specifically across Core HR, Absence, and Compensation. This is a client-facing role within a global programme, requiring excellent stakeholder engagement, deep functional expertise, and the ability to lead complex Workday deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage full lifecycle Workday HCM implementations (Core HR, Absence, Compensation)
Gather requirements, configure solutions, conduct testing, and support deployment
Provide functional expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and solution delivery
Deliver training and support to drive user adoption and system optimisation
Stay current with Workday product updates and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery methodologies
Required Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience with Workday HCM
Minimum of five full lifecycle Workday implementations
Strong configuration knowledge of Workday Core HR, Compensation, and Absence
In-depth understanding of HR processes and best practices
Excellent communication skills and proven client-facing experience
Ability to manage complex, global implementations independently and collaboratively
Desirable Experience:
Additional expertise in Absence, Time Tracking, or Recruiting
Previous experience in a consulting environment
Multilingual candidates preferred (Spanish and Portuguese highly desirable; Czech, Romanian, or Bulgarian also beneficial)
