Actuarial Analyst

Actuarial Analytics & Insights (Protection)

The team is responsible for analysing and explaining financial results for both existing and new business under various reporting bases.

The team works across functions supporting strategic decisions and improving understanding of the Protection business’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and explain financial results, including attribution, sensitivities, and future scenarios

  • Assist in business performance reviews and suggest actionable insights

  • Work with cross-functional teams to support reporting and financial understanding

  • Contribute to the development of economic insights for the European Protection business


Requirements

  • Part-qualified actuary with at least 2 years’ experience in life insurance or reinsurance

  • Strong understanding of actuarial valuation principles

  • Experience in the UK Protection market (preferred)

  • Strong MS Excel skills; familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., Tyche, or others)

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines independently

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Comfortable with change, adaptable and proactive
