VP, Finance

Oliver James is partnered with a global property & casualty insurance organization is seeking a VP, Finance to oversee enterprise-wide financial planning, business controlling, and management reporting functions. This position plays a key leadership role in driving accounting process efficiency and data accuracy, reporting directly to executive leadership.

Job Summary:


The VP, Finance will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for a national property & casualty insurance organization. This individual will lead the financial data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across all accounting functions. The role also involves managing a team of finance professionals and collaborating closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes

  • Oversee enterprise-wide financial reporting and business controlling activities

  • Analyze financial results and provide insights to executive leadership

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in all financial data and reporting

  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and control within accounting operations

  • Supervise and develop a team of finance and business controller professionals

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience within a P&C insurance company

  • Strong leadership background in accounting and financial reporting

  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
