Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for data integrations, vendor platforms, and application-related initiatives across the organization.
- Partner with enterprise stakeholders to manage data infrastructure requirements, documentation, governance, and security controls.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and external vendors to support data platforms, tools, workflows, and implementation projects.
- Lead issue management and resolution for critical IT/data incidents, including failed data processes and SLA monitoring.
- Support oversight of managed service providers and third-party technology vendors.
- Enable executive and functional teams (e.g., Finance, Product, Legal) by developing and delivering ad hoc reporting and dashboards using BI tools.
Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in cloud data and analytics ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Power BI.
- Strong experience with modern data platforms and warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), including data integration, testing, and engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with insurance and financial services systems and tools is preferred (e.g., policy administration, actuarial or illustration platforms).
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline (e.g., data science, engineering, computer science, analytics, or related field).
- 5-10 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles with increasing responsibility.
- Prior experience in life insurance, annuities, or regulated financial services environments strongly preferred, with understanding of carrier operations and regulatory frameworks.
