Financial Operations Manager
Location: Remote (East Coast preferred)
Periodical travel to either Greenwich, CT or Charlotte, NC
Compensation: Flexible based on experience
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, this position manages the critical intersection of policy administration and financial reporting. You will oversee the accuracy of high-volume financial transactions and lead the modernization of existing manual processes.
Core Responsibilities

Reconciliation: Manage policy accounting and reconciliation between administrative systems and the general ledger.

Treasury & AP: Support cash and liquidity management while overseeing the accounts payable function.

Compliance: Handle premium tax, income tax withholdings, and 1099/5498 reporting.

Transformation: Automate manual workflows through technology integration and business process redesign.

Accounting Support: Coordinate month-end/quarter-end closes and manage external audit requirements.
Key Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years of accounting experience, specifically within the US insurance sector

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

Systems: Expert MS Office skills and mandatory experience with ERP/EPM software.

Skills: High-level analytical problem-solving and clear communication skills.
