The Mandate

Oliver James has been retained to appoint a VP / AVP of Product Management focused on Regional E-Commerce. Reporting to the Group Chief Product & AI Officer, this role is the commercial engine of the digital hub. You are responsible for the high-performance platforms that drive the Group’s digital P&L across Asia.

The Focus: The Gen AI Sales Engine

  • Conversational Commerce: Replacing legacy web-forms with Gen AI Sales Agents capable of guiding customers through quotes and policy issuance via natural language.

  • Funnel Optimization: Radical focus on the end-to-end “Buy-Flow”-optimizing every touchpoint to eliminate friction and maximize conversion rates.

  • AI-Native Protection: Partnering with technical teams to integrate instant AI-underwriting, allowing for “one-click” protection based on customer data.

  • Regional Scaling: Deploying a unified, scalable commerce architecture that can be localized rapidly across diverse Asian markets.

The Profile

  • Experience: Heavyweight experience in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) E-Commerce, FinTech, or Digital Marketplaces.

  • Growth DNA: You are obsessed with conversion metrics, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and simplifying complex transactional journeys.

  • AI Strategy: You view Generative AI as a commercial tool to drive revenue and redefine the unit economics of digital sales.
