Job Opportunity: Vice President – Compliance – Conflicts
Role Overview
This is a VP-level role within the Global Control Room focused on conflicts management across investment banking and capital markets activities. The hire will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating conflicts of interest, while also helping build and enhance systems, frameworks, and global processes.
It’s a mix of BAU conflicts advisory + project/change management, with strong visibility to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage conflicts of interest across business lines (IB, Capital Markets, M&A, Commercial Banking)
- Advise business, legal, and compliance teams on complex conflict scenarios
- Support the design and enhancement of conflicts frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Drive development of conflicts systems and tools (working closely with tech + PM teams)
- Lead global change initiatives (system implementations, policy rollouts, process improvements)
- Partner with stakeholders across compliance, legal, and front office
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure best practices
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team leadership
What They’re Looking For
- 5-7 years of direct conflicts management experience
- Background in a global bank or large financial institution (Control Room preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Investment banking / capital markets products
- Regulatory frameworks impacting conflicts
- Experience with:
- Conflicts systems/tools
- Process building or enhancement
- Large-scale change or transformation projects
- Strong stakeholder management + communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Advanced degree or certifications (JD, MBA, CAMS, CRCM)
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment
