Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular capital reporting and valuations in accordance with the Hong Kong Risk-Based Capital (HKRBC) framework
- Analyze the organization's solvency position and identify key risk drivers impacting the capital standing
- Perform financial projections and scenario testing (e.g., Own Risk and Solvency Assessment, Stress Testing) to support decision-making and regulatory reporting
- Develop and enhance reporting processes to improve efficiency and analogical capabilities
- Provide statistical information to regulators as required
- Lead and coach the team to develop their skills and expertise
- Undertake other responsibilities and duties as assigned periodically by the supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements
Job Requirements:
- A university or college graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the life insurance industry
- Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary
- Excellent people management, communication, presentation, and project management abilities
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively handle multiple priorities
- Substantial experience and knowledge in insurance product development and corporate actuarial work. Experience and knowledge in IFRS 17, HKRBC, and ALS modelling is preferred
- Proficiency in using actuarial software, such as Prophet, is an advantage
