A specialized fund administration provider is seeking an Engagement Manager to oversee client engagements across private equity, venture capital, real estate, and fund-of-funds structures. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background and private funds experience, who is looking to take ownership of client relationships and manage cross-functional engagement teams.

About the Company:

This organization partners with General Partners across the private funds space offering both consulting support for emerging managers launching their first fund, and comprehensive administration and technology services for established managers looking to scale operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned fund clients

Manage client expectations while balancing engagement profitability, team utilization, and quality

Supervise and mentor a team of Fund Controllers and Associates

Oversee fund accounting, investor capital accounts, and financial reporting

Review and coordinate all investor and client communications

Lead audit and tax process coordination

Contribute to new business efforts including proposal generation and prospect conversations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred)

2+ years in public accounting or equivalent financial services experience

2+ years of experience in private equity/venture capital fund administration - or - minimum 1 year at the manager level in public accounting

Strong understanding of partnership accounting and private fund structures preferred

CPA designation preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required

Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
