Our client is a reputable Insurance Group that providing a wide variety of insurance products and services. They are looking for Finance Operations Assistant Manager/Manager level to support their Finance team in Hong Kong.

Our client is a reputable Insurance Group that providing a wide variety of insurance products and services. They are looking for Finance Operations Assistant Manager/Manager level to support their Finance team in Hong Kong.

About the team:

You will report to the Head of Finance, working closely with different teams, business heads and senior management to perform your role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for general accounting functions including AP, AR, manual billing and settlement, claims and settlement, intercompany recharge, and month end closing
  • Support credit control function include monitor and review debtor status and work with the stakeholder to take up follow up actions
  • Perform commission calculation report and review
  • Review and update finance operation process and streamline/initial improvements/enhancement
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliation and review schedules
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax representative
  • Continue to enhance financial accounting and reporting process flows to cope with accounting systems change, reporting requirements as well as business needs
  • Maintain and strengthen financial accounting and reporting control procedures and processes to achieve high standard of financial integrity

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accountancy or Finance, or Qualified Accountant
  • 8+ years relevant working experience; working experience in insurance industry preferred; candidate with lesser expenses will be considered as Assistant Manager
  • Full set accounting experience
  • Proficient PC skills in MS Excel, knowledge of PeopleSoft, Workiva and Tagetik systems is a plus
  • Customer service oriented, result and detail oriented
  • Good team player and positive attitude
  • Good communication, interpersonal and management skill
