Summary
A leading life and annuities platform is seeking a strategic finance/risk executive to lead in-force balance sheet risk management. This role will drive capital, liquidity, and risk strategies in alignment with long-term financial goals and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, executive presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial risk analysis tied to liquidity, capital adequacy, and earnings sensitivity
Act as primary liaison between finance, risk, and treasury functions
Evaluate ALM risks, derivatives exposure, market volatility, and product-level implications
Monitor market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor positioning
Recommend balance sheet structure changes and model financial impact
Partner with Capital Planning, FP&A, and Treasury to ensure coordinated risk governance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or actuarial credentials preferred
15+ years of progressive experience in capital or risk strategy within life and annuities
Expertise in balance sheet optimization, liquidity, and financial risk management
Strong executive communication, strategic leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-level risk frameworks
