Leading MNC is looking for a data specialist to come on board as an Information Lifecycle Management Manager

Principal Responsibilities

• Active participant in the design of the Group Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) Framework for all record types including physical, structured and un-structured records, championing the specific needs of Asia
• Rollout the Group ILM Programme across Asia to ensure Information is destroyed when no longer required or defensible to retain
• Implement an effective data retention and destruction governance framework across the markets in Asia
• Design and lead a literacy/education program to raise awareness and understanding of accountabilities, regulatory requirements and risk across markets in Asia
• Serve as the primary ILM contact for markets and businesses in Asia, acting as the subject matter expert supporting the region
• Design and deliver effective and actionable insights on ILM status and risk in Asia, proactively identifying opportunities to reduce risk through deletion
• Develop effective relationships with Group ILM and Data Risk teams, and Regional Heads of Data, COOs and CIOs to ensure data retention risk is understood and managed
• Support the acceleration of our clients journey to net zero and reduce risk through deletion of Redundant, Obsolete and Trivial data

Requirements

• Responsible to drive the rollout and adoption of the ILM policy and procedures across Asia
• Responsible for managing the delivery of the Information Lifecycle Management services and advise markets to ensure the Entity COO can effectively manage their risk
• Manage the support of Global Businesses & Functions with SME knowledge on Data Retention and Deletion policies, procedures and regulations
• Manage the management and reporting on the level of compliance with Data Retention policies, procedures and regulations
• Manage supporting the Global Businesses & Function in the design and delivery of technical solutions compliant with data Retention policies, procedures and regulations
• Co-ordinate adherence to ILM policies and procedures
• Understand the regulatory landscape relating to record retention and disposition across Asia
