Role: Manager - Individual Retirement Income (Actuarial)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a qualified actuary to join the Individual Retirement Income team of a leading global life reinsurer. Based in London, this strategic role will support the development and execution of new retirement income solutions, focusing on the UK market while also contributing to global proposition innovation across the Savings & Retirement space.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the entry into the UK individual retirement income market, working closely with cross-functional teams including investments, pricing, legal and client relationship managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development of a market-leading retirement income reinsurance proposition, aligning client needs, technology, and underwriting approaches.
* Assist in creating and launching innovative retirement income products, leveraging internal global capabilities and data.
* Collaborate with pricing and insurance teams to deliver high-quality responses to tenders and new business opportunities.
* Engage in deal structuring and negotiations, working with internal and external legal, investment, and operations teams.
* Build and manage strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders across the UK retirement income market.
Experience Required:
* Fellow of the IFoA (FIA) or equivalent qualification.
* Prior experience in actuarial pricing, product development, or technical insurance roles.
* Strong actuarial modelling, analytical, and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of actuarial principles, processes, and risk frameworks.
* Proven ability to contribute to innovation and strategic proposition development.
* Knowledge of the UK annuities or protection market is highly desirable.
* Experience in the product development cycle and regulatory environment would be an advantage.
