I am working with a leading M&A Advisory team attached to an Asset Management Firm that is seeking 1 or 2 Generalist Real Estate MDs and an Asset /Wealth Management MD. There is complete flexibility on location across the US despite the majority of the team being based in New York.

This group have been in rapid growth mode over the past few years having not been impacted by the ongoing downturns with no pressure to restructure. It is a highly entrepreneurial style environment within a very balanced team from top to bottom that has been growing organically.

The team wants to increase their origination capabilities across the market and is committed to growing its junior ranks in tandem to ensure there are dedicated resources across all levels. The group cover all asset classes whether public or private and have worked with top sponsors on projects ranging up to $30bn or more.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Lead the origination, execution, and management of live projects
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and due diligence on potential investments
  • Develop investment strategies and recommendations based on market research and analysis
  • Prepare investment presentations and reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of investment deals
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory developments
  • Provide mentor ship and guidance to junior team members

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA is a bonus
  • Previous experience in M&A/Investment Banking is essential
  • Expertise across Real Estate or FIG is mandatory
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
  • Excellent understanding of the relevant sector market and investment strategies
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software
