Opportunity: Senior Claims Analyst
Our esteemed client, a leading entity in the Insurance industry, is seeking a proficient Senior Claims Analyst to enhance their Finance department. This permanent position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a robust background in Claims Operations seeking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. This a hybrid role and will require the successfull candidate to be in the office 3 days a week
Role & Responsibilities
Claims Evaluation: Review and analyse both treaty and facultative reinsurance claims, assess potential exposures, and determine suitable reserve levels.
Loss Handling: Process and log loss notifications, cash loss requests, and technical accounts within your designated portfolio.
Information Sourcing: Proactively seek out and collect essential claims-related information.
Claims Processing: Administer claims using internal systems, including digital document management platforms.
Data Integrity Checks: Contribute to routine audits aimed at ensuring the accuracy and consistency of claims data.
Claims Data Analysis: Examine data to detect emerging trends, recurring patterns, or irregularities.
Reporting Duties: Compile and format claims data for regular management reporting-daily, weekly, or quarterly-while keeping internal teams informed of key developments and concerns.
Team Coordination: Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and finance personnel across various offices on matters relating to claims.
Client Interaction: Review submitted loss details from clients and provide timely, relevant responses.
Project Support: Participate in special assignments or one-off tasks as required.
Key Skills
- Proven expertise in Claims Operations within the Insurance sector.
- 8 - 10 years experience working in claims administration with an in depth understanding of insurance
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Experience with data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- German speaking is preferred but not essential
