Senior Credit Portfolio Manager
Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Senior Credit Portfolio Manager to enhance its in-house asset management team's skillset in the area of credit assets and to manage European investment grade credit exposures in multi-asset funds, in funds with dedicated credit mandates and in liability-driven portfolios. This role reports to the Chief Investment Officer.
Your Role
- Manage credit portfolios for the relevant bond and multi-asset funds
- Manage the credit component of liability-driven funds
- Demonstrate security analysis capabilities
- Execute trading activity with clear respect for mandate requirements
- Contribute to team's asset allocation group
- Collaborate with other in-house credit portfolio managers
- Interact with in-house credit analysts
- Contribute to existing and new asset-driven propositions in the business
- Contribute to written or verbal commentary for investment committees or advisors and clients as required
Job Qualifications
- Track record of direct management of credit portfolios
- Thorough understanding of fixed income portfolio management
- Fundamental credit analysis skills
- Portfolio construction skills
- Strong knowledge of the credit asset universe
- Understanding of liability-driven investing and client fund investing
- Strong academic background: Bachelor-level degree preferably in economics, finance, business or related disciplines
- CFA charter-holder status is preferable
- At least 7 years experience in direct management of credit portfolios preferably in an insurance company or asset manager
- Proficient in standard investment management tools such as Bloomberg and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication
