Software Developer - .NET / Cloud / Sports Tech - Leipzig (On-site) - English Speaking
We're on the lookout for an experienced Software Developer to help design and build world-class real-time software solutions for global sporting events - including the Olympic Games and World Cups.
This is a unique opportunity for a driven developer to contribute to the technology behind the world's most prestigious competitions. You'll work closely with timekeeping hardware (sensors, timers, cameras), collaborate with sports federations, and support operational teams in delivering cutting-edge systems on the field of play.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Real-Time Software: Design and implement robust, scalable web applications using .NET / C# and cloud platforms, powering timekeeping and scoring systems for international sports events.
Hardware Integration: Work closely with devices such as sensors, timers, and cameras, ensuring accurate and reliable data transmission during live competitions.
Ensure Software Excellence: Take ownership of code quality, reliability, and performance. Use automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD practices to support continuous improvement.
Event Support & Collaboration: Provide on-site and remote technical support at global sports events. Collaborate with sports managers and federations to validate and refine new timekeeping technologies.
Train & Support Teams: Support internal testing and operational teams. Help them master the software and prepare for deployment at major competitions.
Innovation & R&D: Take part in internal innovation projects, contributing your ideas and expertise to the evolution of our sports tech platforms.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience: 4+ years of professional software development experience, ideally with real-time systems or cloud-based applications.
Technical Stack: Proven expertise in .NET / C#, containerized deployments (Docker or AKS), and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). Strong understanding of microservices architecture and DevOps principles.
Frontend Knowledge: Solid grasp of modern frontend frameworks or languages.
Mindset: Resilient, detail-oriented, and excited by challenges. Able to operate under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Communication: Strong English language skills are essential. You are collaborative, clear, and confident in cross-functional team environments.
Passion for Sport: Enthusiasm for sports is a strong plus - as is the flexibility to travel internationally (approx. 20%) and provide occasional remote on-call support.
