IT Support - Global Sports Leader - Zug
We're working with a leading international organisation in the sports industry, based in the Lucerne area, that delivers cutting-edge technology and operational support for major global sporting events - including the Olympics and World Cups.
They are now looking to bring on board a hands-on, service-oriented IT Support Specialist to join their internal IT team and help ensure smooth, high-performance operations across their infrastructure and live events.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with solid IT support experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for dynamic, real-time environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1st & 2nd Line Support: Deliver professional and timely end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot computers, servers, mobile devices, and networks.
- Event Support: Provide IT support during international sports events - both from HQ and on-site (approx. 20% travel).
- Hardware & Software Management: Keep inventory up to date and ensure proper lifecycle management of IT assets.
- Training & Documentation: Run user training sessions and keep internal manuals and technical documentation current.
- Updates & Patch Management: Ensure system integrity through regular updates and proactive patching.
- IT Projects: Contribute to the delivery of ongoing infrastructure and innovation projects within the IT team.
Ideal Experience / Background:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration or similar technical support role.
- Solid technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience supporting users in complex environments with high service expectations.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, ITIL, ISO) are highly beneficial.
- Fluent in German and English - both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical mindset, quality-driven, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable with a client-first approach.
