We are recruiting for a number of high achieving, coachable and commercially minded individuals with sales or corporate experience to join the Oliver James team here in New York City.

What will I be doing?
The role of a recruiter is varied and rewarding, and centres around building and maintaining relationships and with both clients and candidates within one of our niche specialisms, that ultimately leads to revenue generation via successful permanent or contract placements.
At its core, it’s a high output, phone based sales role that requires you to be proactively prospecting both clients and candidates to influence them to use Oliver James as their recruitment partner.
The best recruiters treat their ‘desk’ like their own business, and operate with commerciality, resilience, influence and pace, and use a phone-first mentality to ensure maximise their opportunities to represent the very best candidates and partner on the most desirable roles from their client networks.
You’ll be undertaking tasks such as:
- Headhunting candidates via cold calls, LinkedIn and referral network
- Qualification calls to understand candidates’ background, motivation and career goals
- Selling relevant job opportunities to new and existing candidates
- Prospecting hiring managers to sell OJ’s services, qualify accounts, and generate jobs
- Proactively generating leads, referrals and other commercial information
- Managing interview preparation, feedback and offer processes
- Negotiating fees, contracts and offers
- Operate as a consultative partner for both clients and candidates, providing expert recruitment advice about your market
