Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who will take full ownership of accounting and financial reporting for assigned blocks of business. In this role, you’ll become a subject matter expert, partner with stakeholders across the company, and play a key role in strategic initiatives and complex transactions.

What You’ll Do

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for assigned business units (US GAAP & Statutory)

Lead accounting for new and complex transactions, including reinsurance onboarding

Analyze financial results and prepare insights for senior leadership

Ensure accurate financial records, journal entries, and reconciliations

Identify and implement process improvements and stronger internal controls (SOX)

Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives

Mentor junior staff and review their work as needed
What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required

4-7+ years of accounting or finance experience (financial services or audit preferred)

Strong knowledge of financial reporting and technical accounting

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Comfortable working with large data sets and complex transactions

Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (PeopleSoft a plus)
