A leading financial services company is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Financial Reporting & Control team on a fixed-term contract. This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end insurance & financial reporting and the opportunity to work closely with internal finance teams and senior stakeholders.

- Prepare and analyse accurate financial reports for management, group stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with internal teams including Finance Business Partners, Credit Control, and Shared Service Centres to resolve queries and ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain a strong control and compliance environment, including balance sheet reconciliations and control testing.
- Support finance projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and efficiencies.
- Contribute to IFRS 17-related reporting activities and finance transformation initiatives.
- Support and mentor junior or part-qualified team members where required.
Key Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- 1+ years post-qualified experience (PQE).
- Experience in financial services, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Knowledge or experience of IFRS 17.
- Advanced Excel skills, with good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.
- A proactive and motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- MUST HAVE: Financial services/ Insurance experience
