IT Project Manager
The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is looking to appoint an experienced IT Project Manager to join its technology team in London. This role offers the opportunity to lead a range of technology and business transformation projects that support the firm’s lawyers and business services teams.
You will take ownership of projects from initial scoping and planning through to delivery and post-implementation review. Working closely with stakeholders across the firm, you will ensure technology initiatives are delivered efficiently, meet business requirements, and align with the firm’s operational, security, and compliance standards.
This role sits within a collaborative technology function and will suit someone who enjoys working in a professional services environment where stakeholder engagement and structured delivery are key.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of IT projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Develop project plans, timelines, and governance frameworks to support structured project delivery.

Work closely with legal teams, business services, and senior stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear project objectives.

Coordinate internal technology teams and third-party vendors involved in project delivery.

Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.

Provide regular project updates and reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Manage project budgets and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery.

Ensure projects align with the firm’s IT standards, security requirements, and operational processes.

Support post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities to improve project delivery and processes.
Experience Required

Demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end IT projects within a professional services organisation, ideally within a law firm or similar environment.

Experience managing multiple technology projects simultaneously within a structured project management framework.

Proven ability to engage with stakeholders across both technical teams and business functions.

Experience coordinating internal teams and external vendors as part of project delivery.

Qualifications
