What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering modern data infrastructure and pipelines. You’ll work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Designing and building scalable data lakes and cloud-based data warehouse solutions
- Developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform large datasets
- Working with complex datasets to support analytics and operational use cases
- Building and maintaining APIs and backend data services
- Contributing to architectural decisions and platform design
- Collaborating in agile development environments (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.)
- Troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing data workflows and pipelines
- Evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is both technically strong and adaptable-someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling meaningful challenges.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data management
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL (JavaScript is a plus)
- Hands-on experience building pipelines and data workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda)
- Familiarity with modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
- Experience working with ETL tools (e.g., Talend or similar)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and backend systems
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with regulated or complex datasets (e.g., healthcare, finance, etc.)
- Exposure to CI/CD practices in data environments
- Experience reviewing code and mentoring other engineers
