What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering modern data infrastructure and pipelines. You’ll work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Designing and building scalable data lakes and cloud-based data warehouse solutions
  • Developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform large datasets
  • Working with complex datasets to support analytics and operational use cases
  • Building and maintaining APIs and backend data services
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and platform design
  • Collaborating in agile development environments (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing data workflows and pipelines
  • Evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is both technically strong and adaptable-someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling meaningful challenges.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data management
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL (JavaScript is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience building pipelines and data workflows
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda)
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Experience working with ETL tools (e.g., Talend or similar)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and backend systems

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with regulated or complex datasets (e.g., healthcare, finance, etc.)
  • Exposure to CI/CD practices in data environments
  • Experience reviewing code and mentoring other engineers
