A leading global financial services organisation, with a growing presence across Ireland and the UK (900+ employees), is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to join their Dublin team. This role comes as part of a continued expansion and offers the opportunity to shape delivery across a diverse project portfolio.
The Role
As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving delivery across a mix of contract and permanent development initiatives, while leading and growing a high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver strategic project roadmaps aligned to business goals
- Manage a portfolio of projects across both contract and permanent streams
- Own and manage hiring budgets, contributing to team growth and structure
- Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders across the business
- Lead and develop a team of 3+ software engineers
- Coordinate effectively with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Software Development Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong background in stakeholder management within complex environments
- Experience managing distributed teams (onshore/offshore)
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver multiple projects
- Experience with team scaling and budget ownership
