Our client is a leading international Financial Services Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the company is now seeking a high-calibre Agency Strategy Lead to develop and rollout strategic initiatives and transformation across the Asia region.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Reporting to the Asia Chief Agency Distribution Officer, own and lead the design and execution of major Agency distribution initiatives aimed at accelerating the growth and transformation of the Agency force in Asia.
- Work in close collaboration with local and regional business and functional leaders to shape a compelling Agency distribution strategy, translate it into actionable plans and drive end-to-end delivery and adoption of strategic, tactical, and digital programs.
- Formulate and drive mandates across both established and emerging opportunities including priority customer segments (HNW, Affluent), business expansion, GenAI-enabled sales tools, cross-selling, agent productivity and segmentation, compensation optimization and other initiatives with strong long-term growth potential.
- Lead the development and ongoing refinement of Agency distribution strategies by monitoring market trends and the competitive landscape, aligning initiatives and roadmaps with stakeholders to drive sustainable growth.
- Formulate distribution strategies aligned with corporate strategic priorities to accelerate agency force expansion, supported by data analytics and performance metrics.
- Partner closely with senior leaders, country CAOs and key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, prioritization, and delivery of customer-centric propositions and measurable business outcomes.
- Establish best-practice governance, operating structure, resourcing, budgeting and cost management for distribution initiatives and projects.
- Drive and lead the country teams on project and program execution through clear planning, milestone setting, progress tracking, and cross-team collaboration, including regional campaigns.
- Contribute to the transformation of the agency force by enhancing organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and people development.
- Ensure robust performance management through regular business reviews, clear target setting, pipeline tracking, and actionable insights to support effective strategy execution.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree preferably with MBA
- Min. 15 years of Agency Strategy, Agency Business Development, Agency Distribution Transformation, Sales Strategy, Client Strategy and / or Strategic Consulting
- Industry experience from Insurance or Management Consultancies focusing on Insurance sector
- Good financial and quantitative analysis skills
- Strategy formulation with project execution skills and ability to run multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Regional exposure and running cross-location, cross-location initiatives
- Experience in team or project leadership roles
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
