The role involves hands‑on work in high‑stakes civil litigation and administrative matters, including defamation, civil rights and discrimination claims, university disciplinary proceedings (including Title IX), professional licensing defense, and complex personal injury cases.
This position is ideal for a barred attorney with exceptional writing skills, strong judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑focused litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and applications for temporary restraining orders and injunctive relief.
- Conduct in‑depth legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and appellate submissions.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, deposition strategy, and evidentiary analysis.
- Support representation of professionals, students, faculty, and executives in sensitive administrative, disciplinary, and investigatory proceedings.
- Participate in strategic client counseling on complex, high‑exposure matters.
- Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy from inception through resolution.
