Our client is an international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Corporate Transactions / M&A professional to join the team in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Lead or support the group on inorganic strategic development plans, assessing and executing corporate transactions including M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, JV.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying, sourcing, screening, working on due diligence and valuation of potential acquisition targets and partnership opportunities that align with the groups strategic goals in the various regions.
  • Conduct research on market trends, industry insights and competitive landscape, analyzing the impact on the business.
  • Recommend inorganic initiatives and articulate ideas into execution priorities and action plans.
  • Work with business and external advisors on transactions execution
  • Provide support in numerical analysis, financial modelling and presentation materials to senior leadership team on decision making
  • Perform analysis, financial modelling, valuations, transactions data gathering.
  • Act as project lead and manager on transactions from end to end.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • An university degree preferably
  • Around 8 – 10 years relevant experience in investment banking M&A, deals execution, in-house corporate development and / or private equity investment execution.
  • Preferred industry experience from Insurance, Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Fintech, Insurtech, Financial Services, Private Equity and / or Management Consultancies.
  • Solid financial modelling, numerical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
