Overview:
We are seeking a Reinsurance Treaties Specialist to join a small, specialist treaty contract management team. This role sits within the contracting function and focuses exclusively on reinsurance contract drafting, review, and lifecycle management. The position involves managing multiple long-duration reinsurance treaties across life and health portfolios.
Portfolio Exposure:
- ~70% Life reinsurance contracts
- ~30% Health reinsurance contracts (including medical stop loss and related products)
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- 3+ years’ experience in reinsurance contractsin Life or health
- Strong experience reviewing, drafting, or amending contracts
- Familiarity with reinsurance terminology and treaty structures
- High attention to detail and document accuracy
- Ability to interpret contract language and propose amendments aligned with business/legal requirements
- Comfortable managing multiple contracts at different lifecycle stages
Role Characteristics:
- Fully remote with high autonomy
- Reports into the legal department
- Small team environment (3 people total, including manager)
- Emphasis on collaboration with internal legal, pricing, actuarial teams, and external clients
