We’re seeking a highly hands‑on Technical Business Analyst to lead end‑to‑end technical discovery of applications for packaging. You’ll be working in a messy, unstructured environment with scattered source files, minimal documentation, and limited SME input. This is a deeply technical BA role, ideal for someone who thrives on bringing order to chaos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery of applications from the ground up
- Locate, analyse, and structure disparate source files (MSI, EXE, scripts, installers)
- Reverse‑engineer and document:
- Installation and uninstall processes
- Silent install/uninstall commands
- Dependencies and prerequisites (.NET, VC++, etc.)
- Identify file structures, registry changes, and configuration requirements
- Produce clear, structured discovery outputs for packaging engineers
- Create and maintain user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Track progress and manage the discovery backlog in ADO
Core Skills (Essential)
- Strong BA background with hands‑on experience in technical discovery and application packaging
- Proven ability to operate in poorly documented, complex environments
- Advanced Azure DevOps (ADO) experience
- Excellent process mapping and Target Operating Model (TOM) capability
- Comfortable working within Agile delivery (stand‑ups, sprints, backlog management)
- Highly self‑sufficient, able to drive outcomes independently
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to SCCM, Intune, or broader endpoint management tooling
