Director, Treasury
Role Summary
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Director, Treasury to support strategic treasury initiatives across capital markets, liquidity management, funding agreements, and enterprise financing activities. This role will partner closely with senior treasury leadership and provide support across key financing, banking, and balance sheet initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong treasury and capital markets experience within the life insurance industry, along with exposure to ratings agencies, banking relationships, and liquidity management. Life insurance experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Support treasury strategy, liquidity management, and capital planning initiatives.
- Assist with funding agreements, financing transactions, and capital markets activities.
- Support relationships with banking partners, rating agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Partner with Accounting, Investments, Risk, and Actuarial teams on treasury-related initiatives.
- Assist with liquidity analysis, cash forecasting, and funding requirements.
- Prepare reporting and presentation materials for senior leadership related to treasury and financing activities.
- Support balance sheet management and liquidity optimization efforts.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and treasury infrastructure enhancements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior treasury team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- CPA and/or CFA preferred.
- 8-12 years of Treasury, Capital Markets, or Corporate Finance experience within insurance or financial services.
- Life insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, funding structures, and treasury operations.
- Exposure to rating agencies, banking relationships, and financing activities preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
