Assistant Treasurer, Capital Markets

Locations: New York, NY | Hartford, CT | Charlotte, NC

A growing life insurance company is seeking an experienced treasury and capital markets professional to join its leadership team. Reporting directly to the Treasurer, this role will play a key part in executing funding, liquidity, and capital management initiatives across a complex and highly regulated business.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys transaction execution, financial analysis, stakeholder management, and capital markets activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support debt issuance, structured financing, and other capital markets transactions.
  • Assist with funding programs, liquidity initiatives, and capital structure management.
  • Build financial models and perform capital, liquidity, and funding analysis.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, Investments, Risk, and Operations on strategic transactions.
  • Prepare materials for investors, lenders, rating agencies, and senior leadership.
  • Support liquidity forecasting, cash management, and treasury reporting.
  • Assist with banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing activities.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to key treasury projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Treasury, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting debt transactions, funding initiatives, or complex financing structures.
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and stakeholder management skills.
