The Opportunity
Join a leading Belgian IT consultancy to play a pivotal role in their Data & AI team. As an AI Architect, you are not just a technical lead; you are a pioneer responsible for transforming data into a strategic asset for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with a team of 80 enthusiastic professionals to design, test, and deploy high-value AI solutions that meet the highest market standards.
Your Mission
You will act as a senior technical reference, translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure AI architectures. Your role spans the entire lifecycle-from initial scoping and framing to production deployment-ensuring the seamless integration of Data, Cloud, MLOps, and Generative AI (GenAI).
Key Responsibilities
AI & Data Architecture
- Design, recommend, and evolve comprehensive AI architectures including data pipelines, models, APIs, security, and monitoring.
- Define data and AI strategies for clients based on their business objectives and technical constraints.
- Establish architectural patterns, design principles, and best practices for enterprise-grade solutions.
- Ensure total consistency between data, cloud, and MLOps frameworks.
GenAI & Machine Learning
- Design and integrate solutions utilizing Machine Learning and GenAI (LLMs, RAG, Agents) tailored to specific client use cases.
- Define strategies for the development, training, deployment, and governance of AI models.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to ensure the performance and maintainability of all solutions.
Cloud & Industrialization
- Architect secure and evolvable cloud environments, primarily on AWS (including AWS Bedrock).
- Define and implement APIs for the integration of AI models into existing legacy systems.
- Implement rigorous testing strategies (unit, integration, performance, and load testing) to ensure solution robustness.
- Foster a culture of excellence and standardization across all data and AI architectures.
Leadership & Advisory
- Pilot Proof of Concepts (PoCs), technical benchmarks, and feasibility studies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients regarding technology and architectural roadmaps.
- Mentor, coach, and inspire a team of architects and senior technical profiles.
- Popularize and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business-oriented audiences.
Job Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in Data, AI, or Cloud environments, including significant experience in an Architectural or Senior Technical Lead role.
- Production Focus: Proven experience in the design and deployment of AI/GenAI solutions in production environments, covering the full lifecycle.
- Technical Mastery:
- Deep knowledge of LLMs, RAG, Agents, and model optimization.
- Strong expertise in AWS (ideally AWS Bedrock) and cloud security/scalability.
- Proficiency in MLOps, APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
- Solid understanding of data governance, compliance, and access controls.
- Languages: Native or Fluent French OR Dutch is required; conversational English is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, ability to innovate based on emerging trends, and excellent communication skills.
