Oliver James have partnered with a global alternative investment management and advisory firm who specialise across various asset classes and institutional finance platforms as they look to hire a Chief Financial Officer to oversee their structured funding business.
They are ideally looking for a highly experienced accounting and finance professional who can smoothly integrate into their executive leadership team, taking responsibility for regulatory reporting, financial reporting, accounting policy and financial controls across their derivatives and structured products.
Our esteemed client are offering a competitive compensation package between $500,000 and $550,000 from a purely cash perspective, an excellent benefits programme, hybrid working, as well as the opportunity to develop and gain wider strategic oversight across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial reporting, month-end close and consolidation processes across the various entities in the business.
- Enforce and own wider Accounting Policies for structured products including total return swaps (TRS), securities lending, repurchase agreements, and other funding arrangements aligned with US GAAP.
- Full responsibility for FOCUS and other regulatory reporting, overall capital compliance as well as or the SEC-registered SBSD.
- Manage SEC filings process and contribute to compliance efforts related to SEC risk management requirements applicable to SBSDs.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness, and governance frameworks across both regulated and unregulated entities.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, technology, regulators, operations, custodians and counterparts.
- Develop and oversee the Finance and Accounting department.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience within a progressive finance and accounting environment, with 5+ years of senior leadership exposure.
- CPA required.
- Experience within a regulated financial services environment is required – derivatives and structured products
- Must have strong expertise with US GAAP, technical accounting, Total Return Swaps, SEC and FINRA regulatory capital frameworks.
- Experience managing financial operations across both regulated entities and unregulated entities.
Benefits:
- Base salary between $250,000 and $300,000
- Total cash compensation between $500,000 and $550,000
