Complex Casualty Claims Manager

  • Lead and oversee Financial Lines claims operations, ensuring strong productivity, operational efficiency, and alignment with broader organizational objectives.

  • Manage Excess Casualty claims as needed, including complex or high-exposure matters.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior claims professionals.

  • Review new and existing claims, including analysis of contractual language, to determine coverage and prepare detailed assessments.

  • Assess actual and potential liability exposures, establishing accurate and timely claim reserves.

  • Monitor and identify emerging claim trends and exposures impacting the portfolio.

  • Partner with underwriting and key stakeholders to share insights on claims activity and trends.

  • Maintain accurate, organized claim files and an up-to-date diary system.

  • Prepare case summary reports for matters involving significant reserve adjustments.

  • Develop management reporting and present findings during claims meetings.

  • Participate in client, broker, and industry networking meetings when appropriate.

  • Provide cross-functional support to other teams as needed.

  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.

  • Support additional responsibilities as directed by management.

  • Travel periodically as required.
