DevOps Engineer – Java Ecosystem
Location: Brussels (Hybrid)

Role Summary:
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in the Java ecosystem. You will primarily focus on building, maintaining, and automating infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments, while also being able to contribute to Java development when required. This role sits within a collaborative team operating in a regulated environment with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments for Java-based applications.

Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud environment.

Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Collaborate with developers to support Java applications (Spring Boot) and ensure smooth integration with DevOps workflows.

Maintain and optimize AWS cloud services, including Cognito, S3, SES, and Cloud Pipeline.

Ensure high code quality and compliance using tools like SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, and Selenium.

Automate database migrations and versioning using Flyway.

Monitor and troubleshoot production environments to ensure availability, performance, and security.
Required Skills & Experience:
Java & Development:

Strong experience in Java (8+), with hands-on in Spring Boot.

Familiarity with Gradle, JUnit, Mockito, and Selenium for testing and automation.
Database Technologies:

Experience with MySQL and Flyway for database versioning and migrations.
AWS Cloud Services:

Hands-on experience with AWS Cognito, S3, SES, and Cloud Pipeline.

Understanding of cloud security best practices in a regulated environment.
CI/CD & Infrastructure:

Expertise in Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and SonarQube.

Strong automation skills for deployment and infrastructure management.
Other Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.

Familiarity with working in a regulated and security-sensitive environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a hybrid team setup in Brussels.
