Our client is a leading international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With a strong focus on developing into the Health space, a Team Leadership position has arisen to drive innovative product and customer propositions in the Health business line. The group is currently seeking an experienced leader to head a team based in Hong Kong
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Lead and play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of health insurance by developing innovative health solutions, establishing effective pricing models and ensuring strong governance across the proposition life-cycle
- Spearhead the creation and execution of distinctive health insurance solutions that stand out in the market
- Introduce forward-thinking features such as curated provider networks, guided care pathways and wellness integration
- Manage the end-to-end proposition development of health and medical products for both individual and group businesses, ensuring all product offerings meet compliance and regulatory standards while remaining competitive
- Develop pricing frameworks that balance profitability with sustainability while adhering to risk standards
- Advocate for customer-first design principles across all health-related products and services, working with customer experience, distribution and services teams to enhance customer engagements from awareness to recovery
- Drive the modernization of group health insurance platforms while leveraging strategic partnerships to deliver adaptable and innovative solutions and enrich the health ecosystem
- Redefine the company’s health strategy, accelerate health insurance growth, enhance customer experience and expand cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Partner closely with internal teams across marketing, operations, distribution, and technology to ensure health offerings are well-integrated, commercially viable and ready for market launch.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree
- Minimum 12 – 15 years of relevant experience in life or general insurance with solid experience in Health proposition, solution and product development, Health product marketing, integrated Health solutions and / or Health partnership management / development
- Must have exposure to Health Insurance, Health Services Providers, Healthcare sectors or Health-tech
- Experience gained from strategy consulting firms related to Health proposition, Health market entry, Healthcare initiatives would be considered
- Experience from insurance brokers focusing on health and benefits pricing and products area would also be considered
- Leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, Cantonese AND Mandarin
