Senior Manager / Director of FP&A – Insurance
Melbourne, Florida (relocation considered)
$140k-$180k + bonus
A rapidly growing insurance organization is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of FP&A to join its expanding finance team. The title and compensation will flex depending on experience, with the key focus being depth of FP&A expertise within the insurance sector.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving finance infrastructure. The function is still evolving, giving the right person the chance to take genuine ownership of FP&A, develop models, and help shape financial systems and processes within a fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
* Build and maintain detailed financial models to support business strategy
* Deliver variance analysis, KPIs, and executive reporting
* Partner cross-functionally with leadership to provide strategic insight
* Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and FP&A processes
Ideal Background
* Strong FP&A experience within insurance or financial services
* Understanding of insurance metrics such as losses, premiums, and prior periods
* P&C exposure is beneficial, though Life or Health backgrounds may also be relevant
* Advanced financial modelling skills and strong Excel capability
* Experience with FP&A platforms (Vena or similar), Power BI, or comparable analytics tools
* A technically minded, “builder” mentality with the ability to operate independently
