The Opportunity:
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with public accounting experience, particularly those coming from Big 4 or a similar top-tier firm who have worked closely with clients in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or broader asset management.
You will play a key role in supporting fund operations, financial reporting, and investor communications, while working closely with the finance and investment teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review periodic fund financial statements and capital account reporting
- Assist with NAV calculations, investor allocations, and waterfall models
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
- Maintain internal records and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Support year-end audit and tax processes for multiple fund structures
- Assist in enhancing accounting processes, systems, and controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, legal, and operations teams
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or similar), preferably in financial services
- Strong understanding of fund structures, investment partnerships, and capital flows
- Experience auditing or servicing private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or similar
- CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
