Fund Accountant – Asset Manager
An investment management firm, based in Seattle, is seeking a Fund Accountant to support day-to-day fund accounting and post-investment reporting across multiple funds. This role partners closely with fund administration, investment, and portfolio teams and plays a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
Please note this is a hybrid role in Downtown Seattle, 4 days a week in office
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting for multiple funds
- Coordinate monthly reporting with third-party fund administrators
- Track fund expenses, invoices, and allocations across funds and management entities
- Review monthly payment and distribution reports
- Support annual audits and tax filings
- Assist with cost basis reporting and jurisdictional regulatory filings
- Manage management fee reimbursements in accordance with side letters
- Prepare distribution notices, workpapers, and roll-forward schedules for quarter-end close
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams
- Support ad hoc projects for senior management as needed
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Experience with fund accounting systems
- CPA qualified, CPA Candidate or CPA in progress is HIGHLY desirable
