About the Role
Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead a growing infrastructure function during a key period of transformation and upcoming migration projects. This is a strategic management role with responsibility for team leadership, vendor management, and the oversight of both BAU and project delivery in a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily infrastructure operations across on-prem and cloud environments

Drive delivery of infrastructure projects, including upcoming migration initiatives

Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-level IT team, fostering a high-performance culture

Ensure best practices across incident, problem, and change management

Manage external partners, service providers, and contracts
-
Provide strategic input into technology roadmaps and continuous improvement

Maintain compliance and uphold governance standards aligned with financial-services regulations
Technical Environment
Although the role is not highly hands-on, strong technical understanding is required across:

Ticketing / Directory Services: Active Directory, JIRA

Hybrid Infrastructure: On-prem & Cloud (Azure)

Virtualisation: VMware (open to Hyper-V experience)

Exposure to large-scale migration projects beneficial
Ideal Candidate

Previous experience managing IT infrastructure teams in a medium-to-large environment

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Background in financial services advantageous (not essential)

Proven track record managing budgets, vendors, and contractors

Ability to operate strategically while maintaining oversight of technical delivery
