Integration Architect (Enterprise Platforms | Cloud & APIs)

Salary: $122,000 – $145,000

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for defining how applications and services communicate across the organization-creating a cohesive, scalable integration ecosystem that supports both modern cloud platforms and existing systems.
This role blends strategy, architecture, and hands-on technical leadership. You’ll partner closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to design solutions that are reliable, secure, and built for long-term growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and evolve the organization’s integration architecture and long-term roadmap
- Design scalable solutions for connecting applications, services, and data across cloud and on-prem environments
- Establish best practices, standards, and governance for integration development
- Lead the design of API-driven and event-based architectures
- Evaluate and implement tools such as API gateways, messaging systems, and cloud integration services
- Guide engineering teams through design decisions, code reviews, and implementation approaches
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security across all integration points
- Drive improvements in monitoring, observability, and system optimization
- Maintain clear architecture documentation and data flow designs
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience designing and building enterprise integration solutions
- Expertise in API design and development (REST, GraphQL, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, microservices, and messaging systems
- Proven experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native services
- Familiarity with tools such as API gateways, queues, streaming platforms, and workflow orchestration
- Solid understanding of data integration, transformation, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern deployment practices
- Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile delivery models
- Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems (authentication, authorization, secure communication)
- Ability to design for scalability, performance, and reliability
