Job Summary
This role is designed for an experienced fund accounting professional seeking to lead and develop teams within a growing private equity environment. The Private Equity Manager will oversee accounting operations for closed end fund structures, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of NAVs, financial statements, capital activity, fee calculations, waterfall models, and performance reporting.
The position involves managing daily team operations, supervising audits, supporting client on boarding, guiding process improvements, and maintaining strong internal controls. The manager will develop relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while overseeing a team of up to ten staff members. This opportunity offers exposure to evolving fund administration practices in a collaborative, technology driven setting.
Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in hedge fund or private equity fund administration, including 3 years in a supervisory role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, are beneficial but not required
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities with experience managing teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with fund accounting systems and technology platforms
