Private Equity Supervisor

Seeking a Supervisor to lead private equity fund administration, including capital calls, NAVs, financial reporting, waterfalls, IRR calculations, and audit support. Manage and mentor a small team while serving as a key client contact. 3-6 years in financial services required, preferably fund administration or a direct fund. Private equity exposure preferred. Mostly remote, 2-4 days in office/month.

Supervisor, Private Equity

This position offers the opportunity to lead core private equity fund accounting activities within a growing financial services environment. The successful candidate will oversee a team of accountants, manage multiple client deliverables, and ensure all financial reporting and transactional processes are completed accurately and within deadlines. Comprehensive onboarding and regulatory training, including AML and KYC, will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of capital call and distribution processes

  • Review and clear outstanding cash and position reconciliation items

  • Produce NAV calculations and periodic financial statements

  • Calculate management fees and allocate profits and losses

  • Build and maintain distribution waterfall models

  • Prepare performance reporting, including IRR calculations

  • Deliver tailored investor and client reporting as required

  • Coordinate with auditors to support timely year end audits

  • Lead and develop a team of up to four fund accountants

  • Act as the primary contact for accounting matters

  • Partner with internal departments and clients to maintain high service standards

  • Support new client onboarding and transitions

  • Identify and implement improvements to processes and controls

Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial services, ideally within fund administration, audit, or investment management

  • Private equity exposure advantageous but not required

  • Hedge fund experience beneficial

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related discipline

  • Progress toward a professional accounting qualification such as CPA

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new systems

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • High level of accuracy and strong organizational capability

  • Analytical approach with sound judgment

  • Team focused with the ability to guide and develop junior professionals
