Senior Accountant – Insurance Accounting
📍 Boca Raton, FL (Hybrid)
💼 Full-time | Up to $110K + 10% Bonus
We’re partnering with a growing insurance-focused organisation to hire a Senior Accountant into a newly created role supporting multiple insurance and reinsurance entities.
This is a broad, hands-on position with ownership across GL, close, statutory reporting, and audit, alongside the opportunity to drive process improvements in a scaling environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Full-cycle GL accounting including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Lead/support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis
- Support NAIC/Yellow Book filings and premium tax returns
- Partner on audit preparation and documentation
- Manage cash/bank activity, reconciliations, and entries
- Identify and implement process improvements and new procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to ad hoc projects
We’re open on profile:
- An experienced Senior Accountant (insurance preferred)
- OR a strong Staff Accountant ready to step up
- OR someone coming directly from public accounting (insurance clients a plus)
Key requirements:
- 3-5 years’ accounting experience
- Insurance / statutory reporting exposure preferred
- CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
