The Role
Reporting into the Controller, this position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting across multiple insurance entities. The role is well suited to an ambitious accountant seeking exposure to complex insurance structures, regulatory reporting, and close collaboration with leadership.
Core Responsibilities

Preparation of US GAAP and statutory financial statements for life and health entities

Execution of journal entries and detailed balance sheet reconciliations

Support of external audit processes and statutory examinations

Maintenance and enhancement of internal controls and reporting discipline

Analytical review of financial results, variances, and emerging trends

Contribution to ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile

Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline

Meaningful experience within US insurance accounting environments

Strong working knowledge of statutory reporting and Blue Book preparation

Exposure to ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities

Detail-oriented, analytical, and commercially curious

Clear communicator with a collaborative working style
