Position Summary:
As a Commercial Middle Market Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of middle market commercial accounts. You will evaluate risk, determine pricing and coverage terms, and develop agency relationships to drive profitable growth. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and a collaborative approach to supporting business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite new and renewal middle market commercial business, with a focus on multi-line policies including property, casualty, general liability, auto, and workers compensation.

Maintain a profitable book of business in accordance with company underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with business development and distribution teams to identify growth opportunities and strengthen agency partnerships.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

2+ years experience in commercial underwriting, preferably within the multiline or middle markets segment

Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU preferred but not required.
