Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Permanent | Fully Remote)
We are partnering with a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) to hire an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their growing security practice. This is a fully remote, permanent role offering the opportunity to work with a diverse client base across multiple industries.
The Role
As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced security solutions for enterprise clients. You’ll work closely with internal teams and customers to strengthen security posture, respond to threats, and drive continuous improvement across security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage security solutions across client environments
- Lead security engineering initiatives across SIEM, EDR, and cloud security platforms
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex security incidents
- Support and enhance SOC operations, detection, and response capabilities
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation planning
- Collaborate with clients to provide strategic security guidance and best practices
- Contribute to automation and optimisation of security processes
Required Experience
- 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar)
- Experience with EDR/XDR solutions and incident response
- Solid understanding of cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience working within an MSP or multi-client environment (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001)
Desirable Skills
- Scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with SOAR platforms
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, GIAC, Microsoft Security certifications)
