We’ve partnered with a leading financial services firm in Zug to find a Senior IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support Engineer to join their team.

About the Role

Senior IT Helpdesk / Desktop Support Engineer who can combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-pressure environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes pride in mentoring and supporting others.

You will be a trusted partner to both colleagues and leadership, ensuring smooth IT operations while setting the standard for service excellence.

You will play a key role in supporting a trading and financial services environment. This requires role requires attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and plan ahead.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide top-tier IT support to end users.
  • Oversee daily helpdesk operations, ensuring coverage and fast resolution of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems across Windows 11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Outlook, video conferencing, and telephony systems.
  • Advise users on optimising Outlook and productivity tools.
  • Perform network troubleshooting with a solid understanding of protocols and processes.
  • Create and maintain clear, user-friendly technical documentation.
  • Contribute to local, regional, and global IT projects.
  • Support workload shifts-adjusting priorities, covering weekends/holidays if required.
  • Mentor colleagues, share best practices, and raise overall support standards.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of IT support experience in enterprise-level environments (financial services a strong plus).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and network troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience supporting video conferencing and telephony solutions.
  • Ability to manage workload, adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a structured, logical approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Well-organised and proactive-able to plan ahead, especially when supporting VIPs and traders.
  • Fluent in English; German skills are a plus.
